My first blog entry

Ok. I've been meaning to set up a blog for some time now. Mostly coz I need an outlet for all my ranting that I tend to do. It's mostly harmless, and can be easily misconstrued for bitching. Oh yeah, guys bitch. Alot. Also, this seems like a marvelous opportunity to add some much needed color to my otherwise mundane life. Oh yeah, this is being blogged at work. And no, it's not going to be a habit.. hehehe

Impetus to blog...

My friend Eddie (last name omitted to protect the innocent), invited me to this blogging event via Facebook, to celebrate the launch of Air One non stop service from Boston to Milan. Needless to say I had to come up with an excuse to show up. How can one miss a good party, right? Eddie created a blog, (oh yeah, he also had to come legit) and off we went. I came as the "seasoned traveler" with a "facebook blog".

After a long winded explanation about the "power of facebook" I was ready to tackle some Tuscan red that was flowing freely and sample some good food courtesy of Lucca restaurant in Boston's North End. Was a very nice evening which landed me another invite by the wonderful folks at Edelman PR that were planning another party at Four Seasons, Boston for Air One, to officiate their inaugural flight with all the hoopla.

On June 25, I arrived promptly at Four Seasons. There were representatives of Massport, US Airways, Italian Consulate and the Mayor's office just to name a few. I only lasted as far as the speeches from the aforementioned, and then the open bar got the better of me and I politely excused myself.
